Enter your mattress size — the app checks F-150 bed length (67/78/97"), width between wheel wells (51"), and tailgate-down options.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
F-150 bed length (67"/78"/97") vs. mattress length (75–80"), and bed width between wheel wells (51") vs. full width (64")
Item: Twin: 38" × 75". Full: 54" × 75". Queen: 60" × 80". King: 76" × 80"
Space: F-150 short bed: 67" L × 51" W (wells) × 64" W (walls). Standard bed: 78" L. Long bed: 97" L. Volume: 52.8 cu ft (short)
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

Yes — a queen mattress (60" × 80") fits in the F-150. In a standard bed (78"), it fits with the tailgate up (80" length needs slight angling). In a short bed (67"), drop the tailgate for 87" of total length. The 60" width sits above the 51" wheel wells with 4.5" overhang per side, supported by the 64" bed walls.
A king mattress (76" × 80") fits in the F-150 standard bed (78" L) with the tailgate up — the 76" width rides above the wheel wells with 12.5" overhang per side (supported by 64" bed walls). In a short bed (67"), you need the tailgate down. The king fits in the long bed (97") with room to spare.
The standard bed (6.5', 78") handles all mattress sizes with the tailgate up. The short bed (5.5', 67") requires tailgate-down for queen and king sizes. The long bed (8', 97") fits everything easily with room for additional cargo alongside the mattress.
Use at least 4 ratchet straps in a criss-cross pattern through the bed tie-down cleats. Place the mattress in a waterproof bag first. For highway driving, add a cargo net on top. The F-150 has integrated tie-down cleats at all four corners plus mid-bed points for secure strapping.
