Enter your couch dimensions and SUV cargo measurements to see if it fits through the liftgate and inside the cargo area.
Whether it fits comes down to the measurements most people skip.
Measure the item and the narrowest usable space yourself. Small differences in trim, packaging, hardware, and model configuration can change the result. Check your own measurements before you buy or move.

Measure smart
Four numbers decide nearly every fit check. Get these right and the rest follows.

Frequently asked
Usually no. A standard 84-inch couch is longer than the cargo floor in most compact SUVs such as a RAV4 or CR-V. A 52-60 inch loveseat is much more realistic.
01Full-size SUVs such as a Suburban, Yukon XL, Expedition Max, or similar long-wheelbase models give the best chance. Compact and midsize SUVs usually handle loveseats and small sofas, not full couches.
02For short local trips, some small overhang may be manageable with proper straps and a red flag. It is not a good plan for highway driving or large overhangs. A cargo van or pickup is safer for full couches.
