Enter your couch dimensions and truck bed size — the app checks bed length, width between wheel wells, and tailgate-down loading.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Couch length (84") vs. truck bed length (65" / 78" / 97")
Item: Standard 3-seat couch: 84" L × 35" W × 33" H. Loveseat: 52–60" L
Space: Short bed: 65" L × 52" W. Standard bed: 78" L × 52" W. Long bed: 97" L × 52" W
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

Standard sizes say it works — but your measurements are what matter.

A 6-foot truck bed handles most furniture the open-air way. Here's what fits in short, standard, and long beds — plus how to secure it safely.
A 10-foot truck holds about 1 bedroom worth of furniture. Here's exactly what fits — and when you need to size up to a 15 or 20-footer.
From the Ram ProMaster to the Ford Transit, cargo vans range from 230 to 480 cubic feet. Here's how they compare for furniture moving.
Not flat — a standard 3-seat couch (84" long) exceeds a short bed (65") by 19 inches. With the tailgate down, about 15–19" will overhang past the tailgate. A loveseat (52–60") fits in a short bed with room to spare. For an 84" couch, a standard bed (78") or long bed (97") is a much better match.
For short and standard beds, standing the couch on end (vertically) can work if you strap it securely to the cab and bed rails. This reduces the footprint to roughly 35" × 33" on the bed floor. For long beds (97"), lay the couch flat — the 84" length fits with 13 inches to spare. Always use moving blankets and ratchet straps.
Sectional pieces are typically 60–72" each, which fits in standard and long beds. You may need multiple trips for a large sectional. Each piece should be wrapped in moving blankets and strapped individually. Never stack sectional pieces without padding — the fabric will rub and pill during transit.
A cargo van is better for couches: enclosed protection from weather, no height restrictions from wind, and easier loading through wide rear doors. A pickup truck works for short trips under 10 miles at low speed. For highway transport, the open bed exposes the couch to rain, dust, and wind damage.
