Enter your loveseat dimensions and vehicle cargo measurements to check the fit — roof rack and rental truck alternatives included.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Loveseat length vs. cargo floor length (seats folded)
Item: Standard loveseat: 48–60" L × 30–38" D × 30–36" H
Space: Full-size SUV (seats folded): ~78" L × 48" W × 36" H cargo area
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

Measure smart
Four numbers decide nearly every fit check. Get these right and the rest follows.
Don't make these
Most “it didn't fit” stories trace back to one of these oversights.
Frequently asked
Most loveseats (48–60" long) fit in a full-size SUV with seats folded. Compact SUVs can handle smaller loveseats under 54". Sedans are rarely suitable unless the loveseat is very small. A pickup truck bed handles any loveseat easily.
01Unlikely for a standard loveseat. Sedan trunks are typically 42–48" long with limited height. Some compact loveseats (under 52") may fit through the fold-down seat pass-through, but measure carefully.
02Yes — remove the legs to reduce height by 4–6 inches and prevent snagging. Most loveseat legs unscrew by hand or with a wrench. This can make the difference between fitting and not fitting.
