Enter your space dimensions and hot tub size to check the fit — access paths, equipment clearance, and weight capacity.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Hot tub footprint + service clearance vs. available space
Item: 4-person hot tub: ~84" × 84" × 36" H (3,500 lbs filled)
Space: Minimum installation area: 10 × 10 ft with 24" service access
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

Standard sizes say it works — but your measurements are what matter.

A 4-person hot tub is typically 78–84" square (6.5–7 ft per side). A 6-person tub is 84–92" square. Compact 2-person models start at 60" × 60". Always measure the specific model — sizes vary widely.
A 4-person hot tub weighs about 3,000–4,000 lbs when filled with water and occupants. The tub itself is 400–600 lbs empty. This weight must be supported by the surface underneath — concrete pads, reinforced decks, or compacted gravel.
Indoor installation is possible but requires floor reinforcement (3,000+ lb load), adequate ventilation (high humidity), waterproof flooring, and drainage. Most basements with concrete floors can support the weight, but get an engineer's assessment first.
