Enter your room and wardrobe dimensions to check the fit — door opening clearance, ceiling height, and floor space.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Wardrobe height vs. ceiling height, and depth + door swing vs. room width
Item: Standard wardrobe: 36–48" W × 20–24" D × 72–93" H
Space: Standard bedroom: 10×10 ft min, 8 ft ceiling (96")
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

Frequently asked
A standard wardrobe (40" × 22") needs the wall space plus 24" in front for door swing. In a 10 × 10 room, a wardrobe takes up about 20% of one wall and 22" of room depth. Sliding-door wardrobes save the front clearance space.
01The standard PAX height is 93" (236 cm). With an 8-foot (96") ceiling, you have only 3" of clearance — tight but workable if there's no crown molding. The shorter PAX option (79"/201 cm) provides more clearance.
02Sliding doors save 20–24" of floor space in front of the wardrobe, making them ideal for small bedrooms. Hinged doors provide full-width access to the interior at once, making it easier to see all your clothes.
