A 10×10 room limits you to compact sectionals. See which sizes work, how much walking space remains, and where to place a coffee table.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Compact sectional (100"×80") in 120"×120" room = 20" clearance on long side, 40" on short side
Item: Compact sectional: 100"×80" L-shape, 36" deep. Standard: 110–120"×90–100".
Space: 10×10 room: 120"×120" (100 sq ft)
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

The maximum practical size is about 100" on the long side and 80" on the short side. This leaves 20" of clearance on the long side and 40" on the short side for walking. Anything larger overwhelms the room.
Barely. A compact sectional (36" deep) leaves 84" to the opposite wall. A 36" round coffee table with 16" of legroom and 32" of walkway behind it fits — but just. Consider a small side table or ottoman instead.
In most cases, yes. A standard 84" sofa (36" deep) against one wall leaves much more open floor space than an L-shaped sectional. Add a separate armchair for extra seating without the L-shape bulk.
Choose a reversible compact sectional (under 100" on the long side), place it in the corner farthest from the door, skip the coffee table in favor of a small side table or nesting tables, and ensure the entry path is at least 36" wide.
