Enter the item measurements and the usable through a door dimensions to check clearance, orientation, and tight-fit risks.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Item dimensions vs. usable through a door dimensions
Item: Varies by model; measure the actual item.
Space: Varies by space; measure the usable interior and opening.
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

“Checked my mattress before ordering. Tight fit, but it worked with the door removed.” — Online shopper
Measure smart
Four numbers decide nearly every fit check. Get these right and the rest follows.
Don't make these
Most “it didn't fit” stories trace back to one of these oversights.
Frequently asked
Start with the largest rigid dimension, then compare it with the narrowest opening on the route. The final space can be large enough while the door, hatch, or elevator opening still blocks the move.
01Yes. If the item will be moved in a box, mattress bag, blanket, or retail carton, use those outside dimensions for the fit check.
02Treat less than two inches of clearance as a tight fit. Re-measure the opening, remove detachable parts if safe, and plan the turn or loading angle before moving day.
