Standard desks are 24–30" deep and fit through most doors. L-shaped and executive desks often need partial disassembly.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Desk depth (24–30") going depth-first needs 30"+ clear opening. L-shaped: separate into halves.
Item: Standard desk: 48–60"W × 24–30"D × 30"H. L-shaped: 60"×60" (separates to 2 pieces).
Space: 28" door = ~26.5" clear (compact desks). 30" door = ~28.5" (standard desks).
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

Standard sizes say it works — but your measurements are what matter.
A standard desk (24–30" deep) fits through a 30" door (28.5" clear) going depth-first. Even a 28" door works for compact desks (24" deep). The desk width doesn't matter for the door — only the depth.
Separate it into two halves at the connecting hardware (usually 4–6 bolts). Each half is a standard rectangular desk (24–30" deep) that fits through any standard door. Reassemble in the destination room.
