Enter your fridge dimensions and hallway measurements to verify clearance — handles, dolly height, and hallway turns included.
Whether it fits comes down to the measurements most people skip.
Real openings run about 1 to 2 inches under the labeled size, and a single inch can flip the result. Check your own measurements before you buy or move.

Measure smart
Four numbers decide nearly every fit check. Get these right and the rest follows.
Don't make these
Most “it didn't fit” stories trace back to one of these oversights.
Frequently asked
Yes — most refrigerator doors are designed to be removed. French door and side-by-side models have hinge pins on top. Removing both doors can reduce width by 3–5 inches, which is often enough to clear a narrow hallway. Consult your model's installation guide.
01On a dolly, tilt the fridge slightly backward and pivot around the inside corner. Have a second person guide the top of the fridge to prevent wall damage. If the corner is too tight, remove the fridge doors to reduce width. Protect walls with moving blankets at the pivot point.
02A fridge on a dolly is 4–6 inches taller than its spec sheet height. Measure the ceiling clearance along the entire path. You may need to remove ceiling-mounted light fixtures temporarily or tilt the fridge at an angle to clear low spots.
