Fridges are rigid, heavy (200–350 lbs), and 30–36" wide. Professional crane or rigging service is required. The window must be 38"+ wide.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Fridge width (30–36", or 28–32" without doors) + 2" rigging clearance = 34–38" minimum window width.
Item: Standard fridge: 30–36"W × 30–34"D × 65–70"H (200–350 lbs).
Space: Standard window: 32" clear (too narrow for most fridges). Sash removed: 36"+.
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

Standard sizes say it works — but your measurements are what matter.
A standard fridge (36" wide, or 32–34" with doors removed) needs a 38"+ window opening. Standard double-hung windows (32" clear) are often too narrow — you may need the sash fully removed (36"+) or a picture window.
Manual rigging (2–3 floors): $500–1,200. Crane service (4+ floors): $1,000–3,000. Always get quotes from licensed and insured rigging companies. Damage to the building facade or a dropped fridge creates massive liability.
