A 36-inch front door accommodates most fridges. Here's how to verify your specific model.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Fridge width (with handles) vs. 36" door clear opening (34–34.5")
Item: Standard fridge: 30–36" W (add 1–3" for handles)
Space: 36-inch door: 34–34.5" clear opening (36" with door removed)
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

Standard sizes say it works — but your measurements are what matter.
The fridge body (36") is wider than the clear opening (34–34.5"). Remove the house door to get the full 36" frame opening. The body will just fit, but handles must be removed.
A 30" fridge fits easily through a 36" door — 4–4.5" of clearance without any modifications.
Most appliance delivery teams will not remove house doors. Arrange to have the front door removed before the delivery window. Some premium delivery services include door removal.
