Enter your washer dimensions and window measurements — the app checks opening size, weight clearance, and hoisting requirements.
Whether it fits depends on measurements most people get wrong.
Washer width (27") vs. window opening width (sash removed), and washer height (36–42") vs. opening height
Item: Standard washer: 27" W × 27–34" D × 36–42" H (130–180 lbs)
Space: Standard window (sash removed): 24–36" W × 36–60" H opening
Actual clear openings are usually 1–2″ smaller than the labeled size.
Your exact dimensions probably aren't "standard." Small measurement errors cause big problems — 1 inch can be the difference between fitting and getting stuck.
Verdicts are calculated by comparing all 6 item orientations against the space dimensions using verified building code standards. See our methodology

Frequently asked
Yes, if the window opening (with sash removed) is at least 28–29 inches wide. A standard washer is 27 inches wide, so you need 1–2 inches of clearance on each side. Many standard windows open to 30–36" with the sash removed, which provides enough room.
01Standard washers weigh 130–180 lbs. Professional hoisting companies routinely handle appliances this heavy. For ground-floor windows, two strong people can slide the washer through with a furniture dolly on the outside and helpers receiving inside. Above the first floor, always hire professional rigging ($300–$600).
02Large double-hung or single-hung windows with fully removable sashes work best — they provide the widest rectangular opening. Sliding windows can also work if wide enough. Casement windows rarely open wide enough. Basement hopper windows are almost always too small (typically 14–20" openings).
03With proper preparation, yes. Remove the window sash entirely. Lay thick plywood or moving blankets over the sill to protect it and create a smooth slide surface. Position the washer on a furniture dolly outside at sill height. Two people outside push while one inside guides.
